Unlike conventional sculptures, my project was the only one that requires the structure to be anchored from a vertical surface. Side views and back views were drawn so that the skeleton of the sculpture could be fixed first before sculpting.
As sculpting requires 360 degrees details, I could not only rely on a few side views of a human body to completely pull off this project, we decided to take reference pictures of myself posing as Sadako on a turning table and taking around 20 pictures each differing 20 degrees in angle. I also took reference from a friend of mine for the face of Sadako, despite it being hidden.
